About

I’m Sarah, an author from South Devon, represented by the Andrew Nurnberg agency. You can visit my author page here.

I grew up by the beach in South Devon and I’ve always loved to read and write. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick and I then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Falmouth.

After working in London, I moved to Switzerland for several years, developing a love for the mountains, before returning to the UK to work in PR for a multinational company. I eventually made the move back to Devon and have been writing ever since.

My short fiction has been published in magazines including Mslexia and Litro and has been shortlisted and longlisted for several prizes including the Bristol Short Story Prize and the Mslexia Short Story Competition. My short stories have also been regularly published in various women’s magazines. I’m currently working on my first novel.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy eating chocolate (in every form), kayaking and swimming in the often chilly Devon sea and skiing with my family.

I live in South Devon with my husband and two daughters and two feisty female cats.

This site is my journal –  a place to capture my adventures, and share the things that catch my eye. I’ll be sharing my favourite quotes, photographs, books and more…
